For Leroy Merlin, the key word for 2019 is "generativity." Beyond social responsibility, it represents the evolution of DIY into do-it-yourself, a collective dimension that can generate value for communities, an active sharing of time, skills, and responsibilities, with a view beyond mere profit.
To launch Leroy Merlin's generative development, we created a motion graphic video with a fresh and lively style: text, illustrations, editing and sound design produced (as always) entirely by us.
Appreciated by all, pupils, teachers and parents alike, Farò proudly continues his journey, and we with him. We helped Leroy Merlin create six new projects designed for today's children and dedicated to tomorrow's DIYers. From sucker brushes for parties to shelf owls for books, we played gardener and carpenter with our little actors to show how simple and fun it is to make objects with your own hands. With the material from the shoot, we created cards with instructions for making the project. With the footage we edited 6 short videos for Leroy Merlin's web and social pages.
La festa del bricolage si rinnova ogni anno: quest’ anno più di tutti gli altri. Per Leroy Merlin non progettiamo più un bagno, ma cinque oggetti di design, o meglio 10. Perché ogni oggetto ha una doppia funzione. Una lampada che è un portaoggetti, una libreria che è una lampada, un vassoio che si fa tavolino, un portacoltelli che diventa tagliere, un portafoto che diventa portaoggetti. Un design semplice, fresco, alla portata di tutti: anche divertente, a partire dai nomi: Klaro, Gruccio, Flexo, Twino, Skatto. Tutti realizzati, interamente ed esclusivamente, con materiali acquistabili da Leroy Merlin. Nostra l’idea degli oggetti, il reperimento dei materiali, le guide per la realizzazione, i video e tutti i materiali di comunicazione.

Because you don't need a big expense to renovate your home, keep it tidy or add original furnishings and objects. All you need is some recycled material, a little craftsmanship and some creative ideas to share. It was a complex project that kept us busy for a good part of the quarantine: we thought it up and carried it out entirely remotely, every part of it, from the selection of ideas to the fine-tuning of prototypes, from filming to video editing, to the preparation of step sheets for clients.
